Which one you have

Assertion is two products that share one memory. Start with the section that matches what you installed.

The Assertion agent

• Install it. Download the Mac app, or run this in a terminal:curl -sSL https://storage.googleapis.com/assertion-downloads/install.sh | sh
• Sign in. The agent opens a browser once to link your account. Your organisation is set up from your email domain.
• Work as normal. Memory is on from the first prompt. Decisions and findings are captured as you go; nothing is saved verbatim.
• See what it kept. Open studio.assertion-ai.com/memory for what was captured, what it recalled, and the full memory log.
• Plan and usage. Your plan, this week’s usage and your team’s seats are under Account in the same place.

The plugin

• Get your key. Sign in at studio.assertion-ai.com/plugin. Signing in creates your account; no separate setup.
• Install for your client. The same page gives a copy-and-paste command for Claude Code, Codex and Cursor.
• Restart the client. Quit fully and open a new session, not a resumed one. Hooks load on a fresh launch, and your version registers on the first turn.
• Check it is running. The same page lists every client that has reported in, with its version and when it last captured.
• Sharing. Personal memory is free. Shared spaces, where teammates recall each other’s decisions, need a Team Memory seat or a Builder plan.

Analytics in Studio

• Sign in. Go to studio.assertion-ai.com and sign in with your email or Google account. Your organisation is set up from your email domain.
• Create a project. A project groups your data, analyses and deployments, and can be shared with your team.
• Bring in your data. Drag a CSV into the Data tab. Studio checks readiness and suggests fixes.
• Describe it. A data dictionary gives the analysis context. Studio drafts column descriptions for you to edit.
• Analyse. Use Explore to work conversationally, or submit a Run for a structured predictive job. Either returns an executed notebook and a readable report.
• Deploy and share. Promote a Run to a live decision app, chat against the deployed model, and share it with your organisation. Notebooks and dictionaries can be exported to your own GitHub repository.

Your data

Customer data is hosted in managed United States cloud infrastructure, encrypted in transit and at rest, and is never used to train third-party models. Memory stores distilled claims and short evidence excerpts rather than whole transcripts. For the detail, see Security, Data privacy and Terms.

It helps to include which product you are using, what you expected to happen, and what happened instead. For the agent or the plugin, the client and version shown on your Studio page tells us most of what we need.

Reporting a security problem

Report a suspected vulnerability or a security incident to security@assertion-ai.com. Please include enough detail to reproduce it, and give us a way to reach you. We acknowledge reports and keep you updated until the matter is closed, and we notify affected customers of confirmed incidents in line with our agreements and applicable law.
